First Day of School

On August 28 and 29, 2016, teachers at Sarwaran International School, a SABIS^® PPP school in Kurdistan, welcomed the students to their first days of school.

Students were warmly greeted as they entered school and guided to their new classrooms. Then students were given their books for the year. By lunchtime, the students and teachers decorated “welcome to school” posters. As a first activity back, students participated in an environmental cleaning campaign to keep their schools clean.

The first day of school was very successful at Sarwaran and the effort made by the teachers and SABIS Student Life Organization^®(SLO^®) was highly appreciated by the students. “I thank the SLO^® and the teachers for their work to welcome us so warmly,” said a student.
