MINISTER OF EDUCATION VISITS SARWARAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

On March 10, 2019, students at Sarwaran International School, a SABIS^® PPP school in Kurdistan, celebrated Kurdish Clothes Day, in the presence of the Minister of Education

Students welcomed The Minister of Education and General Director of Education to Sarwaran to celebrate Kurdish National Clothes Day. Students arrived early in the morning dressed in traditional Kurdish clothing to decorate the school with flags, posters, and also to roll out the red carpet for their guests. Celebrations began with  the Kurdish National Anthem followed by the students singing and dancing to traditional Kurdish music.

The purpose of this activity was to inform the students about this national day and give them insight into their culture. “It was a great day and we had the chance to wear our Kurdish clothes and meet with The Minister of Education,” said a student .
