Picnic to Barzan
On April 19, 2013,Sarwaran International School organized a picnic to Barzan for 4th graders so they could experience the beautiful scenery of Kurdistan’s nature and learn more about the history of their country.
The students were welcomed by Shekh Khalat Barzani, the president’s representative in Barzan. He accompanied the group to Mala Mustafa Barzani and Idris Barzani’s shrine, spoke about the two great Kurdish leaders, and answered questions that the students asked. Shekh Khalat Barzani enjoyed the time he spent with the children and commented that he is looking forward to new meetings.
The trip ended with a meal and games in Barzan’s spring landscape.
