Sarwaran International School Participates in Martyrs’ Day Event

Students at the Sarwaran International School recently participated in the Martyrs’ Day event organized by the Ministry of Martyrs and in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. Sarwaran International School was the location chosen to kick off the event, which was marked by a day of festivities and activities. A number of high profile individuals, including the Mayor of Erbil as well as representatives from the Ministry of Martyrs and the Ministry of Education were in attendance at the school for the opening ceremony.

The event started on a respectful footing, with all students, participants, and the Sarwaran choir singing the Kurdish national anthem and raising the Kurdish flag. Representatives from the ministries of martyrs and education then each lay a wreath of flowers in the memory of the Kurdish martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their country. The day then took a joyful turn with fun activities and an art exhibition among the many festivities on offer.
