Sarwaran Students Celebrate Kurdish Clothes Day

Students at Sarwaran International School, a SABIS® PPP school in Kurdistan, celebrated Kurdish Clothes Day on March 9, 2017.
Students arrived early in the morning for their classes as they usually did, but on their break they did something different. The students gathered in a circle and began to sing and dance to traditional Kurdish music in their traditional Kurdish costumes.
The purpose of this activity was to inform the students about this national day and give them insight into their culture. “It was an amazing day, we got to see our teachers in their Kurdish clothes, we really enjoyed it and we thank the school for this day,” said a student.
