SARWARAN WELCOME NEW STUDENTS

SARWARAN WELCOME NEW STUDENTS

On Wednesday, October 31, 2018, the SABIS® Student Life Organization (SLO®) Outreach Department at Sarwaran International School, a SABIS® PPP school in Kurdistan, organized a welcome party for new students joining the school.

In order to make the transition easier on students, the SLO® outreach department allocate a day each year to celebrate and welcome students who are new to the school. When the students arrived at school that day they were warmly welcomed by teachers and the outreach department. They went on to meet their new AQC who explained all about their new school and the SABIS® Educational System™. Towards the end of the welcome ceremony students cut a cake and took a group picture as a souvenir. As a final welcome each student was awarded a certificate to take home.

The purpose of this activity was to welcome the new students to their school and help them become acquainted with the school environment. It was also a nice way to show students how enjoyable their new school could be and become excited about returning the next day. “I felt there was no difference between my old school and this school after this warm celebration,” said a student.
